Names, dates, quotes, a word that means something. Lettering looks simple, but it lives or dies on the details — the right font, the right size, and spelling we've checked three times. We do it in the Gaslamp Quarter, and we'll make sure it still reads clean years from now.
What we letter
Kids' and loved ones' names, birth and memorial dates, song lyrics and quotes, single meaningful words, Roman numerals, and custom script in whatever voice fits — delicate and flowing, or bold and blocky.
Got a specific font or a handwritten note (a grandparent's signature, a kid's scribble)? Bring it. Those personal ones are some of our favorites.
Getting it right
Spelling first. We proof every word with you before a needle touches skin — including names and other languages. A typo is the one tattoo mistake there's no excuse for.
Then font and size. Very thin script that's very small tends to blur as it heals and ages, so we'll guide you to a size and placement that keeps it legible for the long haul.
