Realism & black-and-grey tattoos in San Diego.
Portraits, lifelike detail, and that smooth, glowy black-and-grey shading — the kind of tattoo that reads from across the room and still looks clean years later. Bring us a reference and we'll plan it with you at a free design consultation, here in the Gaslamp Quarter.

What we do in realism
Portraits of people and pets, black-and-grey shading and depth, color realism, and the fine micro-detail that makes a piece look like a photograph in skin. Animals, faces, memorial pieces, statues, nature — if it can be photographed, it can usually be tattooed.
Realism lives or dies on the details, so we're honest about scale: small, busy realism tends to blur as it heals and ages, so we'll guide you to a size that'll still look sharp in ten years.
How it works
Bring the best reference photo you can find — high-resolution, good lighting, the exact crop and expression you want. At your free consultation we'll talk placement, size, and whether it's one session or a few (big, detailed pieces are usually built over multiple sittings).
Then your artist does the work, and we send you home with full aftercare so it heals as sharp as it goes on.
