Privacy Policy

• Identity: name you submit on the booking form.
• Contact: email and phone number.
• Booking details: what you'd like tattooed or pierced, placement, references you upload, and any notes you share with our designer.
• Payment: if you pay a deposit or for a session, the payment is processed by our payment processor (Square, Stripe, or similar). We don't store full card numbers — only the last four digits and the receipt for our records.
• Advertising & analytics: we use basic hosting telemetry (Vercel) to keep the site working, plus advertising and measurement tags from Meta (the Facebook/Instagram Pixel & Conversions API), Google (the Google tag, which powers Google Ads conversion measurement and, if enabled, Google Analytics), and TikTok (the TikTok Pixel & Events API) to measure whether our ads lead to bookings and to show you relevant ads (remarketing). These share limited event data (such as that a consultation was booked) and identifiers — including hashed (scrambled) versions of your email or phone — with Meta, Google, and TikTok so we can measure and improve our ads. We don't sell your data, and you can opt out (see “Your California privacy rights” below).

• Schedule, confirm, and remind you about appointments.
• Send you the design or follow-up information your designer needs to share.
• Reach out about a session if there's an unexpected change (artist illness, equipment issue, etc.).
• Send marketing communications only if you opted in (separate checkboxes for email and SMS marketing).
• Keep tax + business records as required by law.

If you opt in to SMS during booking, you may receive transactional and marketing text messages from us:

• Types of messages: appointment confirmations, day-before reminders, and a single follow-up if you started but didn't finish booking.
• Frequency: typically 1–3 messages per appointment. Frequency varies based on your bookings.
• Opt-out: reply STOP to any message and we'll stop texting you, no questions asked. Reply HELP for help.
• Rates: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. We don't charge you anything for receiving texts from us.
• We do not sell your phone number or give it to third-party marketers. Your number is used for the SMS communications described above — the one exception is the limited, hashed (scrambled) ad-measurement use described under “Advertising & analytics,” which you can opt out of below.

We only share your information with service providers required to operate the studio:

• Supabase (database hosting)
• Vercel (website hosting)
• Resend (transactional email delivery)
• Firebase (phone number verification at booking)
• Our payment processor (only when you pay — they handle their own privacy policy)
• Meta Platforms — Facebook/Instagram ad measurement via the Pixel & Conversions API, when we run ads (see “Advertising & analytics” above)
• Google — Google Ads conversion measurement and remarketing via the Google tag (and Google Analytics, if enabled), when we run ads (see “Advertising & analytics” above)
• TikTok — TikTok ad measurement via the TikTok Pixel & Events API, when we run ads (see “Advertising & analytics” above)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information for money, and we never share it with data brokers. The one exception is the limited ad-measurement data we share with Meta, Google, and TikTok (described under “Advertising & analytics”) so we can tell whether our ads work — under California law that counts as “sharing,” and you can opt out below.

You can request a copy of the personal information we have on file, or ask us to delete it, by emailing booking@ufftattoo.com. If you've had a tattoo or piercing with us, we may keep minimal records (health/safety waiver, payment records) as required by California law.

California residents can opt out of the limited ad-measurement “sharing” with Meta, Google, and TikTok. To opt out:

• Email booking@ufftattoo.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share” and we'll flag your records so your data isn't used for ad measurement.
• Or adjust your ad settings directly with Meta (in your Facebook/Instagram account), Google (at adssettings.google.com), and TikTok (in the TikTok app under Settings & privacy → Ads), and use your browser's privacy controls (most browsers can block these ad tags).

We honor opt-outs without penalty — it won't affect your ability to book with us.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Minors require a parent or legal guardian present and co-signing the consent form to receive any service at the studio.

If we update this policy, we'll update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be highlighted in a banner on the homepage for at least 30 days.
